I was perfectly fine just being a fan (and nothing more). That was my boundary, and now it's ruined. I didn't ask for ANY of this. More thoughts

I mentioned the behavior, but there is another side to it. I went into it never believing that I had a chance. The feelings were (still are tbh) real but the doubts were louder. I wasn't sure where I stood or if any of it was real or mutual. What happened felt like confirmation of those mean thoughts that I've had since the beginning. Looking back, I know that none of those thoughts were true. I still wish things were different, but I can't change the past. Overall, I'm handling this a lot better than I did a few months back...

My ability to read people/situations for what they are, is not a flaw. It was never about my "confidence." It was about YOU wanting to stay in control. Deflection at it's finest.
